Why the watch matters during the workout
A phone in hand gets in the way of the exercise and becomes a distraction. With the watch, the client glances at the wrist, sees the set, the load and how much rest is left, and gets back to training. It's the most common request from people who train with a watch, and few workout-sheet apps handle it.
On iPhone and Apple Watch
When the client starts the workout, the iPhone opens a Live Activity on the lock screen: exercise, “Set 2 of 4”, reps, load and the rest counting down. On Apple Watch it appears in the Smart Stack. The client finishes the set without unlocking the phone.
On Android and Wear OS
On Android the workout becomes an ongoing notification with the timer and the “Finish set” and “Skip rest” actions. Wear OS watches and others that support notifications mirror it, and a tap on the wrist reaches the app.
- No vibration on every update: only at the end of the rest.
- The workout stays guided even with the phone screen off.
- Everything works offline, like the rest of the workout.

Calories: an honest estimate
Calories always appear as an estimate, with the source next to it and rounded. The app never stores an estimate as if it were a measurement, and a very short workout doesn't show a meaningless number. It's less impressive than an invented exact number, and more reliable for someone really following a client.
Weight can be shown in kilograms or pounds: the trainer chooses, and it applies to them and their clients, on the phone and on the watch.
Common questions
Do I need a specific watch?
On iPhone, an Apple Watch with a recent watchOS. On Android, a watch that shows the phone's notifications.
Do clients miss anything without a watch?
No. Guided workouts are complete on the phone; the watch just brings the set to the wrist.
